First off - yes, I'm still alive!
The short version of the past month (yikes, has it really been that long?):
I participated in the graduation ceremony although I have two incompletes that I have to make up within the next two months. Then I will be an official graduate. But I still don't know what to do with my life.
I got a lot of graduation money. However, years of being in debt leaves me unable to unwisely spend money (except in extreme circumstances, see below). This is a good thing.
I took a trip out to California to visit old, good friends. The trip was... enlightening. Er, and enjoyable too, don't get me wrong. But I think I finally realized that the past is the past and things will never be the way they used to be. I also learned that 36 hours on a Greyhound bus might not be worth the $100 saved.
Buffy ended. Trogdor was mentioned in the final episode. I cried during the scene in the hall with Buffy, Giles, Xander, and Willow.
Last weekend I went down to Texas to visit friends and to go to the Scarborough Ren Fair. I spent $300 on garb and probably another $100 on food and entrance fees and stuff - extreme circumstances. ;) Pictures of my new garb will be up as soon as it gets cleaned and I take the pictures. ;)
I met several new people that I REALLY liked in Dallas, as well as seeing old friends that I really like. I was surprised by a few revelations regarding, well, my attractiveness. I am not a girl that guys would walk up to in a bar because of her looks, and I think that I currently look less attractive than I have in the past, but somehow this weekend I had more than one guy wrapped around my pinkie. And people I've known for years, who I believed to be interested in a more hot-chick-in-bar type beauty, admitted they've been interested me in a long time. I still can't wrap my head around it, and it's giving me a weird head trip.
My sister got married on about a week's notice - they were engaged without a set date, and then he (in the Navy) found out he was going to get sent to Italy and in order to simplify paperwork they had to get married before he got his orders. So they got married in a quickie ceremony two days ago and will have a larger ceremony in January, after she graduates and before she leaves to join him in Italy. Then I get her car, woo!
Other than all of that, I'm still delivering pizza, taking care of the kitties, sleeping a lot... and pondering the future. Still no clue where to go after August 1. Too many options without a strong pull in any one direction.
I wasn't as impressed with Reloaded as I wanted to be, I thoroughly enjoyed X2, I'm zooming through Babylon 5, I think the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen will be unnecessarily horrible when it could be wonderful, and I having taking to mudding again (on a new mud, Seventh Sign, although I plan on dropping back into 3k too).
That's it for now.

on 5 Jun 2003 04:52 (UTC)Where are you living now? When are you leaving for Europe (or are you already there)? Did you graduate? What is happening after Europe?

on 6 Jun 2003 20:43 (UTC)and yeah, i graduated. finally. :) theoretically, it might show up as august graduation instead of may. it all depends on what completion date dr. johnson puts on the form to remove my incompletes.

on 10 Jun 2003 02:23 (UTC)I ran across (not ran over!) Chris McD tonight while working. I picked him up and we drove around for a while and he told me about your travel plans in Europe. It sounds pretty sweet. I hope you have a great time and take a lot of pictures that will be scanned onto the internet for all to see.

on 5 Jun 2003 05:52 (UTC)I'm equally worried about L.E.G. The comic is just phenomemal, one of the best I've seen in print, but I can't see the trailers without thinking "wow, they're going to totally fuck this up." I can't imagine that they're going to let on that a) Alan Quartermaine is a dope fiend, b) the rest of the group are utter insane bastards, being essentially forced into doing good, and c) Mine Harker is, as far as i can tell, a perfectly normal woman that has the rest of them utterly cowed by sheer force of personality. It's going to be a hollywoodized turd, I'm sure o f it...
