Another day of Jason being online only while I'm on the phone with a customer for half an hour, and having to leave for work about 2 minutes before I get off the phone. Damn the man. Or rather, Damn that Faith and Christy. Anyway.

In other news...

I got my Pokemons! Of course, the person jsut send me the game boy cartridge, no manual or anything, but I don't think Pokemon is that hard to figure out. If there are any special button combinations I should know, Rachel can fill me in. ;)

As things go, I didn't get my Pokemons until after a trip to Hastings, where I found out I could rent books on tape! For only $2 for 4 days! So I rented the 3rd Harry Potter book, The Prisoner of Azkaban, and have been listening to it. I have kept myself from playing Pokemon while I have it, since I only have 4 days to listen to the book whereas I now have FOREVER to play Pokemon! Well, I have gotten Pikachu to level 10 already though. :)

I tried Game X-Change to see if they had a (fear, I almost just typed "study guide") game manual for Pokemon, but the only one they had cost $7 and well, I have $4 left for the week. Next week. :)

After leaving Game X-Change, in my car, I saw a very cute, young (as in about 15) boy walking by. He was holding a 2-liter of Coke, and was very gangly and had a kind of shaggy bowl haircut. He walked like so many of my male friends used to walk when they were 15, I can't really explain it. I wanted to pull over and give him a kiss on the cheek and tell him that when he got older, there would be girls like me who fell in love with skinny cute computer/video gaming boys. I figured that would freak him out, though, so I just drove on.

you totally should have told him... even if he would have been freaked out it would have been cool as all hell of you... and i think if someone came up and told me something like that i would be thrilled.

Heh, one time last summer while I was working at Walmart, there was a rather attractive (to me) guy who worked there as well, along with his girlfriend. One day I just up and told him that, even though I knew he was dating someone and I was as well, I thought he would like to know that I thought he was attractive. He was really surprised and happy about it. It made me feel nice.

I think the next time I see a boy like that, and my car isn't already in the middle of the street, I might stop. :)

i just thought of something since i couldn't find it... when you came over and gaffed some gameboy games did you take a zelda:oracle of seasons game? or maybe it was oracle of ages but one of those? (not to be confused with the other zelda one)... if so i totally need that one back, the last place i think i remember it is on that dresser and i didn't think about the fact that you were coming to get games when i put it there... *hoping*

Yeah well if people are just talking about shit and not directly adressing or including me, I generally don't pay tons of attention. Who knows, you guys probably talked about it while you locked yourselves and the party in Crouch's room and left the rest of us to feel rather unwanted and deserted. (still bitter)

Yeah I saw the address, I'm all cool with mailing it. I'm doing some chores this week during the mornings so I'm sure I can stop by the post office. Hope you're having fun.

is it the whole thing? unabridged?

my mom used to listen to books on tape a lot when she was doing housework.

bargain! But it would still take 5 times as long as reading it I reckon.. I haven't listened to a book in ages - I used to borrow them from the library to listen to when I drove back to parent's place - it's a 3 hour trip and boring a buggery when I'm on my own. There's nothing but sheep to look at the whole way. I don't think there's anywhere in Australia you can pay to rent a taped book (or an ordinary book for that matter).. the only place you can borrow them is a library for free but they rarely have anything good.

Yeah, I was really suprised and excited when I saw them available for rent. It was the first time I had ever seen such a thing.
