Yes, I will be dialing-up.

Cable is too expensive without getting cable TV as well (which I don't want), and I don't want to pay the non-yearly-contract fee for DSL (which is 2x what the yearly-contract fee is).

So, yeah. I will still have the lab! And assuming that reyjadan manages to snag me something to make this SCSI zip drive (external) work with my computer, I don't think I'll have big problems.

Go ahead and get the cable. There is a package (Basic, I believe) that is six or seven dollars a month. With that you can get the $34.95/month fee for cable. Basic includes nothing. It's just local channels with one or two extra channels.
