juldea: (sleepy)

I am still awake. I tried to sleep for about an hour, but it just wasn't working.

Today Jason and I watched Girl, Interrupted. For us, it was greatly Movie, Interrupted. During the movie I believe the phone rang 7 or 8 times (while we were home alone) and then, 30 minutes from the end, his mom came home and needed our help. We had to drive to the pharmacy and get her some prescription medicine because she was too sick to do it. However, since the movie was so heavy, I think the breaks were good for me.

Adriana is out and on her way to Italy. The apartment is theoretically all mine until I leave. I say "theoretically" because all sorts of construction workers and laborers will be in and out, making her bathroom more wheelchair-accessible, adding another bedroom from out of the living room, and tiling the floor of the dining room. I left on Sunday so I don't know if they've started yet, but I will find out tomorrow morning when I return.

Time is running out. Adriana's trip to Italy was SO far away at the beginning of the summer, and now it's begun. The mud party is in a week and a half, and I leave another week and a half after that.

Tentative plan for leaving: Stay with the Foley's on the 10th/11th. Have Jason come back with me to the apartment on the 11th and help pack up. Have the car loaded, except for my duffel bag of travel clothes, by the 12th. Jason spends the night. In the morning, we wake early as planned but stay in bed until I'm late, then have breakfast, and finally he goes home on the subway. I head for Detroit.

It looks easy in text. Actually, at the moment it feels easy, too. Pfft.

Until then, however, I think I'll keep concentrating on things here in Boston. Finishing my psychology class. Going to the gym 5 times a week. Library books. The Museum of Science. A grocery store next door. Getting the paystubs faxed every other Sunday so that everyone gets paid on time. Explorer and Whiskers. The mud party. Jason.

I have so much. I have enough.

There was a time, not that long ago, when I couldn't say that.
