Man, Silver Jewelry Club knew what they were doing when they sent me a "thanks for using us in the past; use this code in the future for $1.00 off our already low prices!" (everything on their site is free-plus-$5.99-shipping, now $4.99 shipping for me). Since getting that email, I have purchased a pair of earrings, a pendant, and two rings. This doubles my purchases from them, I think, and I'm still waiting on particular things to pop up on the randomizer. Curse my completionism tendencies!
Interesting fact: my ring size is down to 5. I swear it used to be 7. I think it's the only measurement that's steadily shrinking as I age. :P
While
londo and I were out this weekend and both had our hair down, we met a lady who exclaimed that we were the Long Hair Couple! and fawned over our hair for a bit. This was done in a non-scary manner, and of course we both eat up that kind of attention. Then she informed us she was actually a hairdresser who works nearby, offered me a card, and said to come to her if we ever wanted a "micro-nano-trim" by someone who would understand the glory of long hair and wouldn't cut it off too much. Awesome! I looked her up - Helen Martin at Savvy Hair Design in Inman Square - and damned if the internet (Yahoo reviews, Yelp) isn't full of people absolutely raving about her and her work. I was already contemplating a get-the-split-ends-off trim as the cold weather ended, so now it looks like I know where to go!
In case I haven't said it lately, it's totally awesome having a job that doesn't make me hate myself.
