concerts of note
25 March 2008 22:18Some bands you don't get to see every year are coming into town in the new few months, and I want to rustle up some interest.
I know a few people are already psyched up about Apocalyptica playing the Paradise Club on May 2, but if you didn't know about it yet,you should read my list of lists more often be aware. londo and I had to drive to NYC to catch their last/first US tour, and it's a pretty neat show. Club full of metalheads headbanging to In the Hall of the Mountain King? A pretty priceless moment.
More importantly to me, there is an awesome week in July when both Yes and Crosby, Stills, & Nash are in town. Both of them. These groups were absolutely influential to my growing up, being my parents' favorite bands which I also love. There is no way I'm missing either concert! I welcome friendship at either, but would need to know soon as I am buying tickets soon. Yes is on a Wednesday night, July 23, and tickets range from $38.50 binocular seats to $125 reserved seating, with $55 and $75 options in between. CSN are in on that Friday, July 25, and their tickets are $36 cheapos and $51 reserved. I'm pretty much tempted to splurge and get myself $75 Yes and $51 CSN, but if someone who can't afford such debauchery wants to come along and provide companionship, I can limit myself. Maybe. ;)
Yay, music!
