teeth, continued
3 August 2005 18:00Due to unanimous effort on the part of my friends list to inform me that no, this isn't normal levels of pain, I did get out the little sheet that tells me who to call in case of "prolonged, severed discomfort or concern."
The Oral Surgery Resident on call told me that indeed, it could be a dry socket, although he couldn't tell without seeing me. He told me that I could take twice as much ibuprofen as I thought I could - 800mg! - just not to take it more often than every 8 hours. I figure this means that even if it works, I'll be miserable again in four, but hey - I'll have a few hours of relief. I hope. It hasn't done anything yet. Also to rinse with warm salt water. Oh, and the important bit, to show myself first thing in the morning to the office and get seen.
Rar.
So, off to attempt to distract myself more.
