Several birthdays coming up. One present is now pretty much complete; the other I just solidified the idea for and will hopefully complete tomorrow or Friday night.

This pleases me.

Saw Knightriders tonight at Melville Keep... The back of the box bears the quote, "You've never seen a biker movie quite like this before," and it's so right! I do believe I liked it, for all it's oddity and cheesiness.

"If we're still alive when all of this is over, do you want to be my lover?"
"YES!!!"

heehee.

Oh yes, and Pat Tallman's breasts.

Some people say that a sunrise is a miracle, because it is somewhat mysterious and often very beautiful, but other people say it is simply a fact of life, because it happens every day and far too early in the morning. Some people say that a telephone is a miracle, because it sometimes seems wonderous that you can talk with somebody who is thousands of miles away, and other people say it is simply a manufactured device fashioned out of metal parts, electronic circuitry, and wires that are very easily cut. And some people say that sneaking out of a hotel is a miracle, particularly if the lobby is swarming with policemen, and other people say it is simply a fact of life, because it happens every day and far too early in the morning.

This has only showed up in two friends' journals, and I didn't respond to it there because they're people I've only met once and only follow through LJ... but I'm inspired to do it myself.

How did you meet me?
What did you think of me when you first met me?
How has that perception changed/not changed?

I was inspired by a reversible bag I saw on [livejournal.com profile] sew_hip and needed a birthday present for [livejournal.com profile] londo's little toddler niece whose birthday party I'm attending on Saturday, so I made her a bag! On one side it's a pretty tie-dyed print and the other is bright yellow fleece with green frogs. I have been sitting on that frog fabric for so long without anything to do with it. For the strap I used a rainbow-colored ribbon I had that matches the tie-dye pretty well.

I'm so proud of myself!!

Now the question is, will a ... 4, I think, year old like this? It's bright and colorful, and a good size for carrying toys and books... We'll see I guess. If not then I'm keeping it! ;)
