Question to self: Would Jane find it desirable to begin wearing a choker to hide both her scar and her tattoo?

(My Garou character has a bar code tattoo on the back of her neck because she's an escaped test subject. She also just gained a wide flat scar on her throat from a sword that very nearly killed her... but she declined an offer to heal/erase the scar. Though she wasn't in her full wits at the time...)

In a fit of desiring-to-post-without-worrying-about-spoilers, I have created a new temporary journal: j_reads_asoiaf. This is my journal for ranting about the series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. Nothing is cut and there are rampant spoilers, so don't go there unless you've read the series or you don't care about being spoiled.

So, everyone remember how the last apartment's kitchen was overrun by ants?

This one's got flies.

All of a sudden. We don't know how. But there are - seriously - hundreds of flies in the kitchen. Mostly clumped on the two windows. And we have no clue how they're getting in. The windows are closed. Hrm.

We're heading out shopping to buy something, anything, to try to deal with this. Pet-friendly is going to be difficult, though. :P

Oh, and for reference - the flies are kind of shiny and iridescent. It's possible that they're hatching from somewhere inside the kitchen, too... We recently threw away an old plastic trash can that was disgustingly molded on the inside.
