I have stolen this meme from [livejournal.com profile] londo, a new friend.

The Rules:

1. Copy this list.
2. Bold the things that you have in common with me.
3. Whatever you don't bold, replace with things about you. (I personally am replacing the uncommon things with something related to explain to the original user why it wasn't emboldened. Also, sometimes I'm bolding part of a comment but not all of it, striking out parts I don't agree with, adding my own notes, whatever. Do what you will.)

Oh right, this is why I shouldn't procrastinate. I've put off the most important part of GettingReadyForInterviewing, the hemming of the suits, until the last few days before I leave. This is of course a weekend, and suddenly I have FRIENDS - people doing things, people who want me to do things with them, people whom I want to do things with...! How do I balance this power?!

Today I want to: go to the gym, doing my leg workout (from now until return, at least 3 hours), shower (30 minutes, all told), hem suits (god knows how long), go meet up with [livejournal.com profile] en_ki for food and beer at 7, and maybe - just maybe - since I'll already be in Cambridge - head to MIT and interfere with [livejournal.com profile] londo's larping. He'd have to give me more directions on how to do that, though. HINT, HINT. Oh, and then I have to get to Adriana's before the trains close so I can put her to bed. Assumedly I get to drive her van back to my house afterwards, though. MMm, my own bed.

Anyway. I could put off the gym, but I put it off yesterday (I went, I just didn't do my leg workout) because of similar misscheduling problems. I could put off hemming until tomorrow, but what if my suits need to be dry cleaned, too? If I get them into a dry cleaners by tomorrow afternoon, can I pick them up on Monday before I leave? I don't even know where a nearby dry cleaners is! *fret*

I really don't want to miss this chance to get out and socialize (read: meet boys). But... important things call... Hrm.

For your perusal, I submit: quirkyalone.net: Quirkyalones are people who resist the tyranny of coupledom precisely because they would prefer to be open to finding that "magical click," whether that click is found in the context of a romantic relationship, with friends, or on our own.

Where or not I qualify as a quirkyalone (I probably am more of a quirkyslut if anything), I strive to be one, and suggest checking out that site.

I apologize to those whom I let believe that I would see tonight. I certainly won't be making it out for a 7pm dinner/drinks time. Please don't assume that I am not actually interested in being social with you. Things just work out this way sometimes.

I try to apologize to me, but I am unforgiving.

Damn you, fate. Damn you for taking good news and completely smothering it with horribleness.
And damn me.
Yes, I put off hemming my suits. Until half an hour ago. I put on one of the pairs of pants to check to see where to pin up the hem.
They're too big.
Quite obviously too big.
Concerned, I try on a skirt.
Too big.
You see, I bought these suits (3 of them, $400 total) when I first moved here. I thought I was going to get right on the ball when it came to getting a job, but I didn't.
But I did join a gym.
And I've lost weight.
Never enough to notice, until now.
And now all my interview suits are too big.
Yay, I've lost weight?

What in the fuck am I going to do now.
