There's a can of Adrenaline Rush in my fridge, waiting for the right moment tonight to enter my body and flood my veins and keep me up for the long haul.

See, I had grand plans for tod--er, yesterday, of being busy and productive and cleaning house and studying and all sorts of good things. Then Karen mentions that seductive word... "shopping". She, Brendan, and I end up on a 7-hour trip through Norman and Oklahoma city... we went to the flea market at the Cleveland County fairgrounds and SCORED, ran up to Best Buy for a look around, tried to find Brendan's exotic wood store (uh-huh) and couldn't, came back to the Norman mall for a bit more fun, then to Game X-Change which was closed, then to Border's, then finally Walmart... After that, at about 9, we returned to Karen's for some food and fun (more about that in a sec) before Brendan and I continued the quest with an extra jaunt to Hasting's. We returned to my house at... 11? That's quite a way to waste the day. Since then I have completed the cleaning-house (at least sweeping and semi-mopping some floors, and vaccuuming, and putting away all clean laundry) and the cleaning-julia (I took out my front/top braids to wash that area of hair)... the rest of the night will consist of redoing those braids, washing dishes, making food, reading some homework, and perhaps even doing a bit of sewing and handwash.

So, anyway, the list of good stuff:

The flea-market thing was actually one large lady selling games, toys, movies, and such for pretty cheap - i.e. movies at $5, $4 or 3 for $10, and even $1. I ended up with:

  • The Fountainhead (one of 3/$10)

  • Dead Again (two of 3/$10)

  • Run Lola Run (subbed) (three of 3/$10)

  • The Ewok Adventure ($1)

  • Volumes 3-7 of I, Claudius ($5 each)

  • I bought nothing at Best Buy... from the mall, Hot Topic was having a badass clearance sale (1/2 off clearance price), so I got

  • one body crystal tattoo

  • a badass necklace

  • a pair of black underwear with pink trim and a screenprint fairie on the front

  • Then, at Software Etc. in the mall, Brendan and I gave in to our nerdy instincts, and we bought Harry Potter starter decks for the card game. By the time we had left the mall, traveled by Game X-Change, and reached Borders, we needed to buy booster packs, so we each bought one. I also got the paperback of Prisoner of Azkaban, recently released and on my wishlist, and a godiva chocolate bar. ;)
Walmart got me a new Brita filter.
While at Karen's after most of the shopping, Brendan and I tried out our new decks with a game of Harry Potter (or 20). This led to the trip to Hasting's to buy three more booster packs each. ;)
We have a rule, though, to keep HP from breaking our banks. We can only buy booster packs when we're together. Hopefully those times will not coincide with business hours enough that we don't spend too much money on this damn game. ;)

So yeah. This weekend has me totally shopped out. Which is good, because next weekend I'll be in Boston, and hopefully the shopping bug will be gone by then...

    I leave very soon. I'm happy. :)

Hot Damn I love this movie! I will have to organize a very important Dead Again movie viewing for everyone sometime. I was done re-braiding my hair before the movie ended but just couldn't get up to do other things while it finished. MMmm. Kenneth Branaugh is the man!

That'll teach me to wait so long before washing dishes... my tower of dishes collapsed, luckily only one broke, but it was my big happy blue bowl used for heaps of pasta and other yummies. :(

Cats really want to investigate when there are shards of painful ceramic on the floor, I've found.

I just confirmed my flight with Continental, so we're all good.

There are more dishes to do, and I haven't even started on cooking or schoolwork. =P

Well, I've been up almost 24 hours now and just opening my can of Adrenaline Rush (tm). I don't know how I've done it so far; the last I ate was a veggie-burger-sandwich at Karen's at 9pm and the last I drank was some coke from the bottle at the Hotel at about 1-2ish.

I had some time keeping up in P Math until we started talking about interesting things, then *ping* I was back awake. It's very weird.

My German teacher isn't as horrible as I thought. She is being very nice to me about missing class later this week and making quizzes up and stuff. Same for my history of science teacher. Profs can be great sometimes, I've found.

I am going to help Karen find things on half.com now. Bye!

I guess Robert's news that Britney Spears had died in a car accident isn't true. That, or it's been quickly covered up by "them".

    I got things done!

I went to my classes, talked to my professors, got things straightened out, scored a laundrimat key, and went and bought the extra independent study book I needed for the past 2 months to start the course!

It's good to be up and hyper and on legal stimulants and getting things done.

I just wonder when, and how, I'm going to crash.

I've got a new default picture; how does everyone like it?

Teddyville seems blocked to the rest of the world. I can VNC to my computer, and I can use my computer to see Teddyville, and I can ping my computer from work, but I can't tracert to either one of those computers and certainly no one but me at home can see Teddyville. What's up?

There are some funny pictures of me up on my old OU page. I took them last night and today for humor.

Sheez, I'm still awake and kicking.

I'm still up. I'm starting to feel the effects of exhaustion, though. Kind of like normal tiredness, with this weird surreal feeling... Like my heart might be beating just a tad too fast, my eyes a bit too watery, and my head lagging a bit too much.

Certainly, though, that might just be the fact that I didn't get to read my webcomics all day until now!! ;)

I wonder how my kitties have enjoyed their day at Brian and Waylon's apartment. By noon the pest guys still hadn't shown up, so I hope they have been there now, and I can take my cats home in about half an hour. Poor babies.

I decided to add (or re-add, in the latter case) Reify and Mongonoodle to my friends list. I think their journals are worth reading. I need more interesting friends list people (not like the people I have aren't interesting, just that I must feed my addiction with more and more interesting people...)

Awake will be my mood until I sleep.

I'd ask, "Does anyone even care?" but I know that Goldbug does.

I've passed the 31-hour mark and I'm starting to feel pretty weird. Which sucks, because I should be studying. =P

Unless they don't touch anything and don't leave a note, the pest control men didn't come to my house today, which means Pixel and Matrix should probably spend the night with Waylon and Brian so we don't have to go through the hassle of hauling them around at 8am again. Two cats + one carrier = mess.

I like my pants. Zippy red knees.

Maybe I should walk to the union and get some fried rice or something. Something yummy. And cheap. I have a dollar and some change.

It sucks that I can't just leave the lab and go home. I need the hours and the money. And it's just not comfy to sleep here... it's too freakin' cold! I'm wearing a turtleneck, a t-shirt, and a thick hoodie all zipped up and I'm still cold. And a hat! And my warm pants (they're lined)! What, are only sub-60-degree temperatures good for computers? I bet if they didn't pay so much to keep it so cold in the summer, they could afford to keep it warmer in the winter. Eh?

Schoolwork isn't getting done. I suppose I can go to discrete class tomorrow without reading and not die. I have to study German vocab but my study flashcard program is at home. Basically I have a lot of reading to do but my eyes and brain aren't really focusing well at the moment. ;)

Time to see what can be done about this rumble pack in my stomach.

So in case no one knows, they have new shoes out that have thick soles within which roller-skate wheels are hidden until you snap them out (or push a button on some models), and then it's time to skate on down the street.

    I want.

I'd skate around Saxon. And love it.

I have 5-6 pairs on watch on ebay right now. ;)

My kitties are going to spend the night with Waylon and Brian.

My house is very very lonely and empty.

I keep thinking I see cats on the edges of my vision, or hear them pouncing around.

    I will visit them tonight.
