188 megs ram. It feels nice. Fighting with the module to get it inside the slot was a bitch though.

The cats were very happy to see me get home. Well, no, they were very happy to get fed when I got home. They haven't crawled all over me with joy or anything yet.

The dance convention was fun. The featured performer/teacher, Morocco, was amazing. We (the dancers) were also taught a short dance by her protege (supposedly her son, but if she said that it would admit her age), Tarik. He was very good-looking. Muscly in a sleek way, and boy could he move. He was dark-skinned and had his hair in all little braids with beads on the end. Everyone agreed that he didn't wear tight enough pants to dance in.

I ended up coming home with a new piece of dance jewelry (a gold arm cuff with blue beads) and a new dress (short black). I was dancing with two other girls and one of them bought each of us matching arm cuffs to go with our costumes. It was a very nice gift. The dress came from the other girl - I realized that I had forgotten to bring something to dress up in, and usually during the evening performances after we dance we change out of our costumes into something fairly nice. Well this girl had brought two different outfits to choose from and let me wear this short black dress she had brought. Well after putting it on both of them said I looked fabulous in it, and she ended up saying, "You know, I don't really plan on ever wearing that again, you should just keep it." It was pretty interesting. So now I have a sexy black dress - I need an occasion to wear it.

I bought 8 pairs of underwear at Walmart tonight. I haven't tried them on yet.

Now that I return from my long weekend away, I wonder if I had homework or anything to do for tomorrow. I guess I'll find out...

Oh.... at lunch during the workshop we were fed the best falafel I have ever had.

Maybe my dad is gay. That might explain everything.

Boy, would Travis freak out.

Gonna try and sleep now.

I expect many comments; I'm writing about food.

If you've never tried the spinach-artichoke-cheese dip at TGI Friday's/Applebee’s, do so. I don't like spinach or artichoke but I can eat a whole bowl of that stuff. Just thinking about it makes me hungrier.

My last two packages of Buddig (not budding!) turkey have been strangely flawed. I've never had to pick off hunks of fat from my processed turkey before. Maybe I'm just pickier? Or I just got a bad batch. Or maybe I just usually have it in a sandwich and don't notice.

This week will be interesting for food. I unintentially spent my entire food budget in Arkansas this weekend ($25 meal at Applebee's, yikes) and so I have I think $3 to spend on food, and a not-barren-but-not-full-of-quickly-made-foods kitchen. I think I will be up late tonight doing dishes and making meals to be stored in tupperware.

More on the Mediterranean food served during the dance convention for lunch: There was water and ginger tea to drink, hummus with pita bread or tarragon crackers (which were the only thing the caterers brought that they didn't have enough of), some kind of cold rice salad with grapes in it that was very very good (the salad was tangy, but when you got a bite with a grape in it, the grape made it very sweet and wonderful), some kind of meatball, the wonderful delicious falafel, and another type of cold salad with chicken and olives in it. It was all very good and despite my knowledge that soon after lunch I would be dancing hard again, I had seconds (thirds of the falafel).

I'm eating fruit leather now.

New season of buffy starts tomorrow at 7! Time to get the tapes out...

So today at work I ran an experiment. I filled up a huge huge cup with water, and continuously drank it. And wrote down the times I went to the bathroom. I started drinking perhaps at 1:00 and these were the times:

2:10
2:45
3:20
3:55
-somewhere in here, water ran out-
5:00

So basically, if I'm constantly imbibing fluids, I have to pee every 35 minutes. I feel like a complete freak. ;)

I'm also very very hungry. I have a kiwi but it's not going to satisfy this hunger. That's what I get for stuffing myself all weekend...

I have Brendan's checkbook. He owes me a little bit of money anyway, though. ;)

I ordered thai food. Right now I don't care that it's overbudget, it won't make me go broke so I'm gonna have it. Comfort food, y'know.

pad thai with glass (bean thread) noodles. we'll see how it turns out.

I won't check to see if I have German homework until after I eat.

pad thai with glass noodles is good.

my fortune cookie says I will run into an old friend soon.

I want to run into my bed instead.
