Chase is a big inspiration for posting a lot. Yay, Chase!
I'm $.05 short of getting a soda from downstairs. Ahh, the sweet agony. I have enough pennies but no nickels.
However, free cookies today. I've had two oatmeal raisin and one peanut.
It's so easy to forget things like rent and car payments. I hope I have enough this month. Certainly the paycheck I'm "working for" right now is going to be icky, even with my raise. I missed a day last week (holiday, only got 3 hours of holiday pay for it) and didn't come in yesterday (although I needed that break). Glad I have a budget... I wish Goldbug would move in with me sooner. But I'm not the only one that needs to save money.
I'm glad to hear Chase has decided to move to CA next summer. Part of me wishes to do the same. I don't think it's possible to graduate by then, however, and well... Jason. Yeah. He's too damn practical to discuss anything that far in the future.
I feel that because of this, pains are going to be taken to not have me be a vital member of Gaea Spore. That makes me sad.

I hope everyone will excuse me for being happy right now, in the light of all that has happened.
For background, I've played piano since the age of 5. Up until 16, I only went maybe a few months one time without being seriously in it... lessons once a week, performances, competitions, etc. When I moved to Oklahoma my junior year of HS, we couldn't find me a piano instructor I liked, and things just went downhill from there... I'd play my old stuff, but had no real new source of good music. I came to OU in 98 and my piano went to my grandma.
But..! My piano was retrieved from my grandma just a few weekends ago. Yay! The bad part is that allll of my piano music is in a storage facility in Michigan. =P
BUT...! Today, as usual when I'm feeling really emotional, I really really felt the urge and the need to play. Play something written. So I got online. Google.com, search for "piano sheet music".
Dingdingdindgindgindgindignding! We have winners! www.mutopia.org (kind of gnutopia for sheet music) and www.music-scores.com both served me uber-well. I now have 22 pieces of sheet music to play. :) The list:
Bach's Inventions, #1-15 (not including 6, 9, and 12.. and for those of you who helped move the piano and heard about the unknown-but-loved piece, it was invention #13 :)))) )
Beethoven, Für Elise (woo Elise)
Clementi, Sonantina 3
Debussy, Clair de Lune
Joplin, Maple Leaf Rag
Pachelbel, Canon in D
Rimsky-Korsakov, Flight of the Bumblebee (advertised for "speedy piano")
Satie, Gymnopédie(s) 1-3
Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness :)
I'm still missing two that I want. Malaguena and the theme from Somewhere in Time. I believe their composers (at least John Barry) are still alive, though, so I understand paying for them. Not like I don't have enough that I want...
So I'm going to go play and play and play now. I hope it's not too late at night.
