I hope that since Livejournal supposedly has new servers up now, everyone can actually get to their friends' pages to read this!

I'm dumb. I gave the optometrist people my cell phone number to reach me at, but I'm at the lab (at least for another half hour) and my phone fritzes out here. We'll see what happens. Maybe they won't call until I leave.

I suppose I'll get the annoying bah! things out of the way before I talk about the happy things...

I rented a Gameboy game, Rampage II: Universal Tour, because I wanted to play my Gameboy (I guess now you know one of the happy things, I got my Gameboy, but another bah! thing is that I still haven't got my Pokemons). Of course, it doesn't come with a manual, and I'm fairly stuck on the game because there are special moves (according to the box) that I have NFC how to perform. And I'm almost positive one of those moves is a heal, which would explain why I can't get further than a few levels on the "easy" mode. And I can't find a damn thing online to help me out. So I guess it's my fault that I rented a game without a guide, but I'm still upset and sad about it.

Okay, let's try to talk about good things. This weekend, I got my Gameboy AND my new pants! The Gameboy, as I said, doesn't have any Pokemons to go with it yet, but that's ok. I can still turn it on and have it say NINTENDO! It is teal in color, opaque, and has two scratches on the left side of the screen, but they aren't in the game viewing area so I don't care. The pants are beautiful and wonderful and don't button yet, although I can squeeze them on and zip them up ;) Soon hopefully I will fit into them! They are light grey.

What else is good. Well, summer school is over. That is good - I know I got at least a B in the class, hopefully an A. Turns out that the computer lab is going to be open for a few more weeks, and since Zoe didn't plan on that, I'm goign to be taking on a few more hours at the lab to make up for her. I'll be working 9-11 every morning and 5-9 M-R night. That's 14 more hours per week than I was working, about $100 more. Yay! It's good to have money to put into savings. I'll be missing out on about half an hour of Saxon each day, but it's bearable ;)

And the reason the computer lab is open for the next few weeks is... new computers! Yes, shiny new fancy nifty computers. Mmm mmm good.

The daily contacts are really nice to have. I like being able to just throw them away at night. I'm going to get a 30-day trial pack so that I have a while to get ahold of my dad (I'm sure he doesn't appreciate it if I call him up and say, "Dad, I need a few hundred dollars tonight to buy contacts tomorrow." Heh.

I really don't see how people pay for all these things when they're grown up. I guess they're all the things that make me wonder why someone who makes more money than I do never has any of it. I suppose I'll be paying for these kinds of things rather soon, in the scheme of things (a couple of years...). That will be when my car is paid off, though. That $200/mo. will be nice.

Anyway, almost time to leave work and go to work (heehee)... Maybe I'll post later from there.

*sniffle* I really, really want my computer back. Really.

Well, I have two things to talk about here. The first one is just funny, I think, and the second is scarysad! So anyway.

Today when I got dressed I put on a tank top, as is usual for me when I think that it's 100+ degrees outside. Knowing that I was going to cold buildings, though, I threw a long-sleeved black shirt into my backpack. When I got to the lab, I put on the long-sleeved shirt, because the lab is really cold.

So anyway, I'm still wearing this shirt at Saxon. I wore it the whole time in the lab, I wore it OUTSIDE and IN MY CAR for the ride to Saxon, I've been wearing it the whole time. And you know what? I've been comfortable and even slightly chilly! I mean, it's supposedly 72 degrees in this room, and I'm wearing a long-sleeved shirt and pants, and could probably stand a flannel shirt over it. I was pretty warm in the car, but that felt really nice. I guess I'm just really messed up, body-temperature-wise.

Secondly - my leg. Owieowieowie. For those of you behind in the game, I broke my leg 3 years ago in a car accident. Broke my tibia AND fibula (bones in lower leg). Anyway, it's never ever given me trouble since having healed up. Then, the past few days. I played a lot of DDR on Thursday night, as you have probably read. My leg was hurting a little but not much, just about what I'd expect from jumping up and down for an hour and a half. I played some more on Saturday, but only played for about 15 minutes before I stopped because my leg hurt a lot more. I left it alone after that, and it felt better. Then I did some aerobics on Sunday. Leg didn't hurt much, but it's been steadily growing since then, so much that I'm limping a bit today and I had to drive with two feet because I couldn't put enough pressure on the brake pedal with my right foot - it hurt too much. So, what does everyone think? Should I just lay off it for a while? Should I go get some X-rays done? Maybe I've cracked it or something... Or maybe it's just irritated.

Well, fark. I had something I wanted to post about, but now that I have the page up, I've forgotten it. BAH!

I'll keep it open until I remember.

--time passes--

Well, 15 minutes. I still can't think of it. But I guess I have stuff to talk about.

I'm still wearing the long-sleeved shirt. I got pretty warm when I went outside at 5 and it was 108 outside and god-knows-what in my car, but it never got past uncomfortable. And that's why I have AC in the car, y'know? So maybe I'll just wear long-sleeved tops every day. =P I wear pants most of the time, too, so that won't change.

Why am I jealous and hurt by the fact that Jason is logging off of the mud to play a computer game online with some other friend? Today was his day off and he was online a bit in the morning, but busy, and then he had to go, and he came back for a little while but we both got caught up in things and now he is going to go play TA.

I think Goldbug, er, goldbug rubbed off on me. I think I'm really, really lonely. I miss Rachel and goldbug and Jason a lot. I have Brendan to talk to, but during work days we're never in the same place. And I want someone to talk to in person, not just over ICQ.

Oh, I know what I was going to talk about. Silly me. I picked up my 30-day trial supply of daily contacts. I don't see how that's really big news that I wanted to share, but... I did.

So anyway. I'll sit and twiddle my thumbs some more.
