I hope that since Livejournal supposedly has new servers up now, everyone can actually get to their friends' pages to read this!

I'm dumb. I gave the optometrist people my cell phone number to reach me at, but I'm at the lab (at least for another half hour) and my phone fritzes out here. We'll see what happens. Maybe they won't call until I leave.

I suppose I'll get the annoying bah! things out of the way before I talk about the happy things...

I rented a Gameboy game, Rampage II: Universal Tour, because I wanted to play my Gameboy (I guess now you know one of the happy things, I got my Gameboy, but another bah! thing is that I still haven't got my Pokemons). Of course, it doesn't come with a manual, and I'm fairly stuck on the game because there are special moves (according to the box) that I have NFC how to perform. And I'm almost positive one of those moves is a heal, which would explain why I can't get further than a few levels on the "easy" mode. And I can't find a damn thing online to help me out. So I guess it's my fault that I rented a game without a guide, but I'm still upset and sad about it.

Okay, let's try to talk about good things. This weekend, I got my Gameboy AND my new pants! The Gameboy, as I said, doesn't have any Pokemons to go with it yet, but that's ok. I can still turn it on and have it say NINTENDO! It is teal in color, opaque, and has two scratches on the left side of the screen, but they aren't in the game viewing area so I don't care. The pants are beautiful and wonderful and don't button yet, although I can squeeze them on and zip them up ;) Soon hopefully I will fit into them! They are light grey.

What else is good. Well, summer school is over. That is good - I know I got at least a B in the class, hopefully an A. Turns out that the computer lab is going to be open for a few more weeks, and since Zoe didn't plan on that, I'm goign to be taking on a few more hours at the lab to make up for her. I'll be working 9-11 every morning and 5-9 M-R night. That's 14 more hours per week than I was working, about $100 more. Yay! It's good to have money to put into savings. I'll be missing out on about half an hour of Saxon each day, but it's bearable ;)

And the reason the computer lab is open for the next few weeks is... new computers! Yes, shiny new fancy nifty computers. Mmm mmm good.

The daily contacts are really nice to have. I like being able to just throw them away at night. I'm going to get a 30-day trial pack so that I have a while to get ahold of my dad (I'm sure he doesn't appreciate it if I call him up and say, "Dad, I need a few hundred dollars tonight to buy contacts tomorrow." Heh.

I really don't see how people pay for all these things when they're grown up. I guess they're all the things that make me wonder why someone who makes more money than I do never has any of it. I suppose I'll be paying for these kinds of things rather soon, in the scheme of things (a couple of years...). That will be when my car is paid off, though. That $200/mo. will be nice.

Anyway, almost time to leave work and go to work (heehee)... Maybe I'll post later from there.

*sniffle* I really, really want my computer back. Really.
