alexx_kay and kestrell (et al), I saw two new-to-me movies that I simply must share with others.
The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra is an amazingly hilarious parody of 50s-60s sci-fi B movies. The writing, direction, and acting are spot-on. The movie balances itself perfectly on the fine line between taking itself too seriously and being so absurd of a parody that it loses connection with its source material. I would definitely recommend this movie to fans of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
The Tall Blonde Man with One Black Shoe was awesome and I want a copy (gyzki, how do you feel about lending it out for VHS copying?). It's a French comedy about a random John Doe who gets caught between two rivalling factions of the French secret service. It's amazingly clever. And, it has a Dress. I can't describe The Dress; you must see The Dress. And yes, you will absolutely know it when you see it. If you can't find a copy of this movie anywhere, well, you'll see The Dress when I make a copy of it. ;)
