juldeaMan, sometimes it's worth it to be really skanky dirty, just to have an appreciation of the difference when you emerge from the shower freshly clean.
So, I finished Sandman today... I'm sad. I want more. Well, there's the couple books on Death and a whole slew of other Gaiman stuff to read, so I guess I shouldn't worry.

londo, laura47, et al were involved in running a 10-day Sandman larp at MIT when I met - well, both of them. I had only read half of the series at that point. I picked up from conversation that part of the plot of the larp was that Morpheus had gone away somehow and that Daniel had taken over as Dream King. At the time, I thought it was really creative and interesting to twist the Sandman world like that. This, of course, means that about halfway through The Kindly Ones, I had a very lightbulb-on ("Oh, INTERCONE!") moment. ;)
