Go to dayspring.com's e-card page and click on "Witness Card" to see the e-card I got from my scary Christian aunt this morning.

I had a link here to the actual card my aunt sent me, but I realized it had her email address on it and I don't want anyone but me sending her an email about that.

I'd like to say something - this is the 3rd or 4th religious card she's sent me from that website, and I want to let her know it's a lost cause. Although I won't make her stop - at least she doesn't spam me with forwards like my grandmother.

I tried to find that same card to send to someone, but I didn't see it anywhere in the list. :o(

Go to E-Card home, click on Easter - March 31, and the Witness card.

Come to think of it, I'll delete this post and post that link, since it won't have my aunt's email address on it.

I didn't realise there were such things as easter cards.. do people actually send tangible cards as well as email ones?

well I hope cards aren't as expensive over there as they are in Australia. What is the point of easter cards anyway?

You can get cards for $1.

You send Easter cards to wish someone Happy Easter, I suppose.

if you ask me, telling her that it's a lost cause will *not* encourage her to stop. it will probably only inspire her to redouble her efforts, because she *loves* you and is concerned for your immortal soul. it is amazing the things people will do with this as their true motivation. i told you my stories. you know what i'm talking about. i'd say just let it go. if she asks you about them, say "not my thing" or something inoffensive to the effect that you appreciate her love and concern for you, but inspirational cards cannot ever actually instill real faith in any person. and pushing it on you will never help, but only frustrate you. these are the kinds of things that soothe (or at least quiet) my (very lutheran) family. maybe they'll be effective with yours. who knows.
