Um...
um....

I just checked my bank account. There is a listing there I didn't expect. Or rather, I didn't expect it to be what it was. This doesn't make sense so I'll just show you:

Mar 21, 2002 ACH DEP-US TREASURY 220 TAX REFUND $353.71

I remember my refund coming out to just $50-ish. No 3 in that there hundreds place.

What in the world do I do?

I guess nothing (besides saying "um" and bugging my eyes out a lot) until I can come home and look at my paperwork. Thank god for keeping a copy of stuff.

Anyone know if the government does stuff where they fix a mistake I made in my taxes, to my credit? Will I get a letter saying this is why we gave you more money?

no, the tax refund thing was for last year as far as i know, but morethan that they always sent a letter before they give you more. also, the irs doesnt change things in your favor ever so far as i know which is why in years after you canalways go back and change your previous years taxes and get more of a refund. i worked in a tax office(well two different tax offices) for two years and havenever heard of the irs adding to someones refund. i would call and check if i were you because you probably dont want to be audited. especially since you deliver and so get tips and so probably dont have great receipts of tips and so an audit would be painful. but thats just my advice...

Well I didn't start delivering pizzas until this year, so there's no problem with worrying about tips (unless when I get audited, they just want to go ahead and check following years as well).

It's possible I've gotten a letter at home saying I'm getting more money, and I just haven't gotten it because I'm on a road trip. Goldbug would be able to tell! But she hasn't replied yet. So who knows.
