Well here I am, sitting at [livejournal.com profile] applegobo's computer. I got here last night around 7:30. We were going to go to Six Flags today, except there was a raging thunderstorm happening from 9am-2pm, pretty much the prime hours for going, and the sun didn't break out of the clouds until about 4. Bad weather is probably more detrimental to our trip than you would think if you didn't know a few small facts:

1) This Six Flags has a water park 'attached' to it.
2) I don't ride rollercoasters (water slides are exempt - ask me why and I will tell, but for brevity I won't put it here).
3) There are very few rides in the main park that are not rollercoasters.
4) All of the rides in the water park are not rollercoasters.
5) (therefore) I would only get my money's worth if the water park were fully functional.

I'm sure you're aware that bad weather tends to shut down water parks. So.. yeah. We didn't go today. Instead, we watched some TV, had chinese food, and went to see Goldmember ([livejournal.com profile] applegobo's 3rd time, her dad's and my first). Then I went off on my own for a Walmart visit. I just realized I forgot to get a beach towel, yet again. If we can make the Six Flags trip tomorrow, I will need one. Or I suppose I can borrow a bath towel from this house. :)

I saw the video that [livejournal.com profile] dervish made for her husband, starring herself and Veronica. It is the greatest thing I've seen in a long time. Veronica is so adorable, I just wanted to reach into the screen and kiss her cheeks (like her mother did every 5 seconds!!). The still pictures I've seen were nothing compared to the video, and so I can just imagine what meeting her in person will be like. I can't wait.

The most amusing thing I saw all day: Sargeant the cat threw up - that isn't the amusing thing, what happened afterwards is. [livejournal.com profile] applegobo picked up Sarge and held him in her arms vertically with his back legs dangling and his stomach sticking out, and her/their dad whipped out a metal detector and ran it all over the cat's stomach. It was incredibly comical... and boggling until I remembered that this cat is famous for eating money (coins) and getting very, very sick because of it. Luckily nothing was found, and I think the culprit was actually me, dropping food last night. Oops.

Well it's almost bedtime and I haven't eaten yet - oops again. No one else in the house is awake, but they gave me a key to come and go as I please, so I think I'll go get some Taco Bell. I've been craving one of those bowl things.

I might have a long angst-ridden post to write when I return... but I'll LJ-cut it for those who don't want any angst in their lives tonight. =P
