awake and hungry
28 April 2002 11:19As well as going to sleep after goldbug, I woke up before her. Hee hee.
I want someone to talk to right now. No one is online, and I don't know who to call. I think it's interesting that I prefer typed communication to oral. So, anyway, I'm just going to talk about some things here.
Karen's car is broken. It requires about $500 in repairs. She says that in the fall, I can have it for that $500 plus another $500, for pizza delivering. Since it's Karen and therefore I can pay in installments and not straight up, I think I like this idea. Bonnie can sit in the parking lot and rest while Karen's car (does it have a name?) gets lots of work driving me around town. I hope to deliver pizza more hours next fall than now. It'll basically be my main job.
Then I had the thought of... I graduate in a year. What will I do with two cars? I don't plan on staying in Norman, although I don't know yet which way I'll go (mainly because Jason doesn't know which way he'll go, so we can't plan anything!). The obvious idea is, of course, to sell it to someone else desparate for a cheap car. Maybe another delivery driver or something. If I pay Karen $1000 for it and use it for 9 months, hard, I assume I can get at least $500, maybe more depending on how things go. Which leaves me with a net loss of $500 for using someone's car that's not mine for 9 months, which is a lot cheaper than I was willing to pay when I first got this job ($100/mo). And Karen gets $1000, and we're all happy.
Then, I had another idea. And it's a much less reasonable idea to plan on, currently, but it's certainly a possibility. So I will plan on selling the car, but if the situation arises... it can be Jason's car. Certainly he and I plan on continuing to be together, and he doesn't have a car. The logistics of it are interesting to imagine (would I make him pay me for it, would we be sharing a bank account at that time, would we have separate or same insurance, etc), which is another reason I'm not planning on that idea. I just thought of it, and it made me smile.
In other news, I'm hungry. And I majorly need a shower. I guess I'll take care of those things now.
