You know, I've been doing this planning-next-few-semesters stuff lately, trying to make sure I graduate in spring 03. I was talking to Jason about it last night, and asked him if he still planned on graduating at the same time. It would suck if we both had graduation ceremonies on the same day, although I don't know how much I'd really want to attend my ceremony.
Anyway, he said he wasn't going to be able to graduate by then. Well, okay.
And then it hits me. In a little over a year from now, I will have a graduation ceremony. Jason will come here to see me graduate, and we will drive together back up to Boston and that will be it. Forever. No longer will 1700 miles be the default. Close and together will be the norm, and apart will be the exception. (Standard disclaimers of "it's possible we will not still be dating at that time" apply.)
Holy shit.
That's a delicious chocolate smiley face with a creamy scary-as-hell center.
One year. We've almost done 3 of those already. 3 years will be May 28 (I'll be in Boston!). When I get BACK, it will only be 9 months. I'm sure Rachel can say quite a bit about "only 9 months", but... wow.
I guess that's all I have to say about that.
