I had to distract a happy purring matrix off of my arms with dinner before I could type this out. Typing small comments with one hand is easy, but I'm not skilled enough for entire posts. :)

I made my own pizza tonight. A small with TONS of mushrooms, some onion, and some bacon. And I poured garlic sauce all over it when it was done. It was one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. Yummm.

I delivered to a garage where some boys were putting together a project for an engineering class. They stood and talked to me for a minute, about my cool beanie hat and how much money I make and such. One of them was inspecting my car and I asked him what was up, and he asked how the car topper stayed on. I told him it was magnets, and they said, "Man, we need magnets for our project, could we have one?"... and I said, "Sure, I don't care!" They were really astonished I had said yes. We pulled the topper off and unscrewed one of the magnets (there are 6 keeping it on, I didn't need all of 'em) and they got to keep it. They offered me pizza and beer in return, but it was early in the night so I declined and went on my merry way. :)

Today was a pretty good day. Saxon was too busy for my liking, but it wasn't horrible. I had yummy thai for lunch. Goldbug and I took Pixel to the vet - instead of using the cat carrier, Pixel rode in goldbug's lap in the car. Since she (Pixel) was still very uncertain about this car business, she made a lot of meowing noise and shed a WHOLE LOT on goldbug's lap. Goldbug told her it was okay, and petted her a lot. The vet gave her a rabies shot and a leukemia shot, and weighed her - she has gained 10 ounces since November! She weighs 6 pounds 14.5 ounces. Almost 7 pounds! What a big kitty! (heehee)

Then we got back in the car, and she was much more relaxed. I guess she knew that now it was time to go home. But it wasn't - I took her to the physics building and into the lab. I figured she would have a exciting trip to tell Matrix about. She met Dr. Shafer-Ray and Dr. Johnson, and saw Brendan. Then she finally got to come home.

I took a nap. I missed aerobics. Blah. I need to get back to paying attention to that.

No mysterious devil markings in pizza delivery tonight....

so she's almost 8 pounds?

that would make pixel a good approximation of the current weight of my baby. :)

Goldbug wins, I was wrong. That makes Pixel even heavier than I thought she was! Almost 8 pounds!

Sheesh, my arms got tired from holding her all around the physics building yesterday, I have a lot more sympathy for you now, Rachel!

grin, wuss! try carrying these (sweater) puppies around. okay, i was actually referring to my kitties, but sweater puppies is just funnier. :) somewhere in LA i got VERY TIRED of lugging them.

as for the baby, it's not actually that bad. it's much nearer my center of balance than pixel was to yours, if she was in your arms. i think most of the problem is the 20-something *other* pounds i've gained... mostly in the breast area.

I would be tired of carrying your kitties around too! I get tired enough hefting one of mine in a carrier by itself...
