bad news and good news...
Bad news first:
My laptop is officially sick again. The fan starts making icky loud noises the minute I start it up, instead of after sitting on for an hour or whatnot. This means I will have to transfer my important files to somewhere safe and take it up to Edmond to the computer doctors. Sigh. At least it's still on warranty.
This also means I'll only consistently be online from work. You'll miss my wonderous self on ICQ/AIM when I'm not here. Isn't that sad?
Good news:
Basically, just a lot of happy links. Quite a few of some of my favorite webcomics have come back from hiati. No, not Haiti the country, the plural of hiatus, at least in my Latin-based mind. If someone knows that is incorrect, let me know.
I wish I could do cavorting backflips with the English language like Tycho from Penny Arcade. I mean, really. You might not know what the hell he's talking about sometimes, unless you're just as hardcore of a gamer as he is, but his speech is enjoyable to read anyway.
This article, titled "The Nation that Freaked Out", sums up the past few months (albeit using the wrong past tense of freak, which is quite definitely 'froke'). I feel the need to share it with whoever decided that all Saxon Publishers employees have to enter the building with their photo IDs or not enter at all. Because terrorists will attack our math book companies first, of course.
Also following the Sept. 11 theme, My New Fighting Technique is Unstoppable, which I have never seen before today, did a set of comics to make you lose any seriousness you have about such things.
Oh jesus, I just noticed the "Page 2" etc links on the top of that. Please excuse me while I read more.
Wow.
Okay, back to milder stuff. This comic and this comic made me laugh.
I am feeling much more witty and savvy than I know I really am. Please excuse any failed attempts at cunning humor.

n. pl. hi?a?tus?es or hiatus
i also found a site that said "we are subject to the queen's english (or the president's english), not the emperor's latin." not exactly relevant to anything, since english is very latin-heavy, but i thought it was cute anyway.
