Tonight I averaged $17.50/hr!!!

I opened an in-town bank account at Arvest to deposit all my tips and Papa John's pay into. It's paying my car payment tomorrow, and who knows what other bills later this month.

I have heard a lot of people pronounce "Arvest" today, and so far, I'm the only one who stresses the first syllable. ARvest. Everyone else says arVEST. It really really weirds me out. I guess because, like Jason, I think of it as "harvest" without the h. Hmm.

i think i pronounce it somewhere in the middle. the second syllable is definitely vest (instead of the reduced sound like in harvest), but the first syllable gets more stress than the second.
