Just got back from Phase 1 of Saxon day. Been in a big meeting room at the postal training center (which is across the street from the saxon building, for those of you not in the know) since 9am. I did get to hear Wally Amos of Famous Amos cookies speak, however, and he's a cool guy. He has a watermelon hat and watermelon shoes. And I got fed.
Actually, Phase 2 of the day involves being fed as well, also Phase 3! Phase two is the marketing/customer service meeting thing at Legend's, where I will get fed, um, whatever the correct spelling of "or derves" is (if you are disgusted by the fact that I don't know how to spell it, just take heart that I do know that what I typed is NOT the way to spell it). Then I come home at 5:30 to meet my mom and change clothes, and we head to the annual banquet, where we get fed MORE and there is a band and casino night, whee. So much fun I'll burst.
I forgot to mention yesterday that while I was at work at Papa John's, some lady drove right into the building. Like, into. It wasn't our storefront, it was on the side that the Half Ass is on (I heard that so many times yesterday instead of Half Acre). For those of you who know the building, if you're facing that side, the Half Ass sits on your left-hand side of the building, and there is another glass doorway/window on the right side that goes elsewhere... well a lady ran right through that doorway. Glass was everywhere. It's all boarded up now, they were doing that last night.
Well, time for more food I guess. ;)
Oh, and I have a really cool idea based on something Wally Amos said, but I will post it later. I'll probably be working on it tomorrow.
