I realized that while I had explained this to Jason on his visit, I never fully have proven how well-suited I am for celcius instead of fahrenheit...

In C, there are major categories, by 10s, and they each have appropriate clothing to go along with them. This is semi-variable, of course, but usually dressing for the category will get me by fine.

40+ go naked, it's farking hot
30-40 shorts, tank top, t-shirt
20-30 jeans or light pants, t-shirt, light long-sleeved shirt
10-20 jeans, sweatshirts, light sweaters, long-sleeved shirts
0-10 heavy jeans, warm sweaters, layers
-0 bundle the fark up. parka, gloves, the works.

So every morning, I check the AccuWeather Hourly Forecasts for the day (or at least the next 8 hours) and dress accordingly.

Now, I know you can say "well there's no difference in saying 10-20C and 50-68F," but really, which is easier to remember?

So that's why my travel clock and car display are set to show temp in celcius. I've gotten quite proficient at it, woo!

Today I met (well, not for the first time, but for the first time I will remember heh) Jeni. Aka [livejournal.com profile] lamnia. We were in the same aerobics class, which I assumed would happen sometime since she posted to my livejournal some about it, but since I didn't know what she looked like (unless she were in dim light holding her cat - her LJ photo) I couldn't look for her. She recognized me, though, and came up to me after class. :) I am glad to know a new person.

I will now sleep, and hopefully I will not have farked up my sleep schedule and will be able to wake up bright and early in the morning to shower before work.

Well the F scale is just as easy as the C scale (for me at least). Why? Because I grew up with it. It's ingrained. As for the C I can always remember that 20 C is the same as roughly 69 F. This is so because it's the tempature you have to keep a ice bath for a chemical reaction experiment I read in middle school.

Well yeah, I mean I have no problem deciding what to wear when I see the temp in F, but I also generally think that the American systems are eventually going to fade out in order for the whole world to use a general system... So I figure, why not start now? I would probably try and switch to km/hr as well, except for the fact that speed limits aren't posted as both. =P
