I'm doing a bit of data-gathering on the video game Braid. The poll below is ONLY for people who have played at least some of the game; sorry, folks who've never touched it, but no clicky-buttons for you.

If you know what kind of data I'm mining here, please don't release it. :)

[Poll #1677107]

I didn't play, but could answer this poll on John's behalf.

Cool. I will count your response as from him, then. :)

Can't answer myself unfortunately, but would you like me to circulate this link to people I know who have played?

Well, I've got it flocked. Hmm. Right now I think that might affect my data, but I will let you know if I unlock it and need more responses. Thanks though!

Oh, huh. I didn't actually friends lock it, I guess. Um, sure, pass it around! :)

My main question was WTH was going on at the end??? the plot at the end was ... very confusing. What did the Atomic bomb have to do with any of this?

Heh. That's one of the big mysteries, right? The internet is full of answers to your questions.

I didn't play through, but someone showed me the bits they thought were cool, including the endgame.

The endgame was definitely cool.

Although I did not finish, I also *did* eventually refer to a walkthrough. While I am good at mental puzzles, and ok at platforming, the combination of high-precision platforming with extreme mental gymnastics eventually got to the point where it was no longer enjoyable, so I stopped.

Data received. :)

I said 'no' on cheating, but there is actually one puzzle I asked for help on (the jigsaw platform), so that's not completely accurate.

Okay. Thanks! :)

I will occasionally use walkthroughs to solve puzzles, but with Braid I got stuck before the puzzles hard enough to merit help - I really suck at the speed/precision needed the platforming element.

I haven't played, but I saw the subject and was very surprised when this post was not about hair.

Ooh, but it's out for Mac now. And my computer can actually run it. And it's on 50% off sale in the Mac app store... Okay, bought!

I am just sad there are no button clickings. Perhaps I should go play this game so I can click the buttons?

That is an excellent reason to do anything! Clicky clicky!

I'm in the middle of it right now.

Neat! Answer in a manner that represents how you've been playing so far?

I'm just sad that this wasn't a post about your hair.

I didn't finish it because I never played it. I watched other people play it, repeatedly, and I'm aware that I've only seen about half the game, but... I don't want to slog through the parts I've already seen played. (I'm in a similar boat on Plants vs. Zombies and Fable II.)

I think "Finish the game" could use a little more definition for Braid in particular. But I'll be interested to hear what you're mining from this.

It took quite a while to finish, and I had to walk away from it a few times, but I did finish without looking up help. Looking for the stars did require some help, however.

I started playing, but didn't finish, because I was playing on a friends XBox.
