We find it inappropriate to celebrate our marriage in places which do not share our values WRT marriage.

Yeah. I generally get misunderstood when I say I "cannot" serve in the Military. I mean, technically, I can. I just have to lie about my personal life.

I am sure that will make them feel wonderfully self-righteous.

On the other hand, if they want to _help_ _reverse_ the decision, they should honeymoon in Maine, be obvious but not obnoxious about being married, (and spend money). Bigotry thrives on the idea that those evil people aren't like the good people we know. Become the good people we know, and the bigotry falls.

They are a heterosexual couple. Their obviousness of happy marriage would help nothing in this case.

Oops. Sorry.

I do hope gay couples will consider my suggestion though.
