[livejournal.com profile] zombie_dog and I are in search of a ride from Camberville/Boston/anywhere T-accessible to Worcester for [livejournal.com profile] doompuppy's birthday party on Saturday. Anyone available? Ideally we're interested in staying for the partier portions of the evening, yet heading back early enough for him to not die at work the next morning (i.e. can't stay overnight in Worcester.) Please halp!

Lemme talk to my cousin, who's getting a zipcar from Boston.

Sadly your cousin is looking to commuter rail it now, and leave by 8. Those are not the party hours I was planning on keeping!

Alternately, I could give you a ride FRIDAY night. But not back on Saturday.

Also, I have to be in Boston Sunday morning by 8. Not sure when [livejournal.com profile] zombie_dog has to be at work.

Friday won't work, and there are other complications for staying the night in Worc. on Saturday besides just the work (which is, I think, at 10), but I assume he'll read this later today and weigh in if it's an option. Thanks!

Sure. I prefer to operate more in the "I'd rather everyone had the information I have and they can kiebash if needed" than the "Oh, I guess I could have done THAT if I knew it would work"

And looky there - it might in fact be feasible for us to stay overnight and get a ride from you Sun morning! Interesting how the world works out. Good call. :) I assume you would be able to provide the crash space?

This is not certain yet - discussions tonight will solidify plans.

We have a guest room with a pull out sofa, yes. I'll be leaving my house around 6-6:30 AM Sunday and can drop you on the E line somewhere (Heath St would be most convenient) quite easily, and closer to your destination if traffic cooperates.

I may or may not have a door on the room come tomorrow night. I just got the new door and may be attempting to install it tomorrow. I will have privacy accomodations, of course.

The most hindering option for me is the time - I'm dissatisfied with the commuter rail options for going home Sat night specifically because I would want to stay at the party later, but if we're going to have to be up at 6am that also would cut the night shorter. But I'm amazingly grateful for the offer, and there's definitely still reason to take you up on it, so I'll be in touch!

Sure thing. I have to be up no matter what, so if you guys sleep in the back seat, I won't be offended :o)

zzzzzz!

Well, there's also getting to your place after the party - I *assume* you'd be leaving at a reasonable time to get yourself a good night's sleep. ;)

Heh. We probably won't be at the party all that long. I imagine i'll have to either pick you up, or have someone drop you off. Logistics can be determined later.
