I am not sure if I just lost or won at life.
Around the time I was trying to wrap up the horrifically busy day of work I had today, I started seeing posts to Twitter about how John Hughes had died and how the internet was going to explode in response. @paulandstorm broke the news with "no more yankie my wankie." I chuckled to myself. References were made to "movie marathons," and I smirked at my friends.
kobold reacted with outrage, and I nodded knowingly.
It wasn't until I got home a few minutes ago, was reading my friends page, and saw
derspatchel's post listing a bunch of movie titles that it began to dawn on me that I was thinking of the wrong person.
Turns out John Holmes died in 1988 anyway.
*facepalm*

on 7 Aug 2009 04:47 (UTC)The strangest thing I can think of related to John Holmes was when I rented Inside Deep Throat (a documentary about the movie) and boggled at the discussion of Linda Lovelace and Harry Reems both going on to find religion.
