juldea: (geek girl)
[personal profile] juldea
So, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] zigdon and his mad l33t coding skills of a client that meshes with my usage patterns, I am now using Twitter. Specifically, I am juldea there, like I am almost everywhere.

I've had Twitter for almost a week now, and definitely am enjoying it for the quick posting of one-liners or one-offs that I think the world or at least my friends would find amusing. Things like, "Awesome - officially recognized as "IT coordinator" at work. Still prefer "Hot IT Girl" though," and, "Doh, totally just faceplanted on the steps at Kenmore. Face OK, shin hurts. :(" So now, having bought into this system, I am of course wondering about also doing the LoudTwitter thing and posting my day's twitters to LJ at the end of the day. But, because I love making semblances of democracies in my life, I'm asking you all what you think first.

Don't do it.

Yeah, the daily twitter post isn't that big a deal when it shows up on my friendspage, but it makes your lj history unreadable. As evidence, may I present:

I guess... I don't see a problem with any of that? I'm not dismissing your input, it's good to know that YOU find that unreadable, but to me... eh. I guess I rarely look at people's history, I just read my friends list as it pops up.

But like I said, not dismissed.

I don't do it very often, either. But occasionally I'll want to go back to a post a person made a week ago, but if it was made by a loudtwit, I can't find it. :(
