So inspired by
hazliya's new LJ theme for me, I kind of went crazy in the LJ settings pages. I had honestly not changed my LJ layout in years, and I have an actual fandom to obsessively model my life LJ around, now! So check it out. All it needs now is a custom mood theme, which I figure will come from all of Len's Thing-a-Week artwork or pictures of JoCo himself.
I changed the page title away from, "Let's take off our shoes and bare our souls." Jesus. That's been there for... a very, very long time. But it was awkward having the JoCo theme with the Moxy Fruvous quote as the page title. At least I replaced it with something equally important to me.
I also updated a couple important posts - sorry folks, but both of them friends-only. juldea101 is updated and edited, and a post I made a while back called Wishful To-Do List is updated and now made non-private, so you can see the kind of important things I'd like to spend my time and money on, had I any.
I'm really great at wasting time and brain cycles on things that I tell myself will only take a few minutes and end up taking over an hour. At least it occupies my thoughts.

on 13 Dec 2008 18:19 (UTC)I recommend Zenni Optical for cheap glasses. You can get them for as low as $8 plus $5 shipping.
Your prescription does not have to be given within the last x years or anything like that. The only challenging thing is that you need to know your interpupillary distance. This is not usually part of your prescription--they measure it at glasses shops. But, you can go to one and ask someone to measure it for you for free. I don't suggest trying to do it yourself.
I also suggest measuring the frame of your current glasses so you will have an idea of how the sizes of the frames on the website compare to what you currently have.
