juldea20 hours ago, I left the home of <lj user=rosinavs> to hook up with a vanpool of folk driving to upstate New York to stand in the rain watching grown men beat each other with sticks for rank. It was only somewhat cold, often <i>very</i> wet, and there were not many men whose rank I cared about. However, I had a really good time. I made excellent choices of clothing for the weather, had excellent company that kept me warm and entertained and *fed*, and heavy list fighting is actually pretty cool to watch.
So thank you, <lj user=etherial>, for making this happen when I came to you about it. Thank you <lj user=rosinavs> for also facilitating so many parts of the day and keeping me company. Thank you <lj user=rufinia> for your presence and translation during court. Thanks to others I saw but don't have names for. I had a good time!
