I just emailed my former bosses at the Harvard ATL* and asked them if they needed extra part-time help now that the school year has started. If their wishes line up with my desires, here, then on the days I work 12p-8p at TTC I would go in to the ATL from 8:30a-11:30a first. 12-hour days, yeah. But also an extra $100ish a week, which I think I need.

*Huh, in LJ history I have no post ever explaining that job or when I got it... weird. It was a temp thing I did at the end of 2006/early 2007. The Harvard Adaptive Technology Laboratory, where basically class materials were reformatted to fit special needs students. The large majority of this is putting textbook scans through optical character recognition programs and then cleaning up the results. The environment is nice, laid-back, and friendly, and basically it means going through and reading textbooks and editing their bad scans. I liked it a lot. I have been wondering lately what I could do outside of the TTC for extra income, and asking them if they need PT help again is at the top of that list.

The ATL work sounds awesome. Did that job find you or vice versa? (I am ridiculously curious about jobs like that.)

One of the bosses there is active in the Boston-area geekdom circles, and had posted to a large mailing list in the area that they needed help. [livejournal.com profile] londo forwarded it to me, and hence I found it. :)

I remember when you were doing that before. It always seemed like a fun job. Good luck with doing it again.
