I haven't posted lately, but that's because I generally want to avoid my LJ being a dumping ground for my bitching and whining. I've been upset about a lot of things lately, from trivial miscommunications (although there have been multiple of these, which multiplies the unhappy factor) all the way up to the biggies of "Huh, I'm all out of money," and "No one counts me as their best friend."

Currently I have a headache, and I received the invitation to my 10-year high school reunion in the mail today.

Man, that's one of those 'you're getting old' moments;). I'm up to 15 years out of highschool. I never got to go to a reunion, I was os..wish I had.

*hug*

(Personally, I thin that's what LJs are at least partially for. Better to bitch than to get it all pent-up. If nothing else, you can make a friend group and ask people if they *want* to listen to posts which you would deem 'bitching and whining.')

I'm married to my best friend, but I'd count you in the top ten.

My class is organizing their own reunion. Whee fun (not) dealing with that, although it's really no different from high school except that a few people I barely remember are being nice to me in private comments. And I have boobs now.

*hugs, tea and headache reliever*

Our class (or whomever makes up the "organizing committee", at least) decided to go with a company that specializes in organizing reunions, it seems. Everything is nicely packaged up. Not too expensive, either; $75 for the two days, including appetizers Friday night and a buffet Saturday night, the venues, a DJ Saturday night (THAT sounds like a bad idea), reunion souvenir booklets, etc.

There's no pre-reunion discussion forum that I can find, however, so the private comments aren't coming. Pooh.

I'm surprised and flattered by that statement. Thank you. *hug back*

I feel like I have some friends that I almost solely communicate to through LJ, and so I'd rather be some nebulous unknown state than continuously bitchy and whiny at them! The friends group might be a good plan, though, except I see the problem of people signing up, getting the full-force emo-juldea thrown at them, and then being afraid of hurting my feelings by asking to opt out afterwards. There's no way to do that without asking me to remove them from that list, after all. :P

Strangely enough, it hasn't hit me as an, "Oh god, I'm so old!" event... perhaps once I'm there and most people are married and have kids! I feel like I'm still pretty young at heart... only just landed a 'career' job, not married or engaged, no kids, still renting, no car, still play D&D once a week and travel to conventions to meet internet people. Although most of that I hope to still be doing in 15, 20, 40 more years! :)

Fair enough, although I still think it's better than nothing. :p

Well if you don't want to bitch on LJ I'm online and bored a lot. My shoulder is big enough.
