Called Dr's office. They took my number and said she'd call me back. Q. Random Nurse calls back, asks what I wanted, I say Friday's x-rays. She looks at them and reads the summary: I broke two bones in my lower leg about ten years ago (yep) but otherwise everything looks fine. I ask to talk to my Dr directly, and it turns out she's out today and will call me back tomorrow.

I'm having to take prescription-strength, fucks-with-my-head painkillers to deal with this problem, and no one knows what it is. ARGH!

All they know so far is that there's nothing wrong with your bones (and whatever they were looking for with the ultrasound. Blood clot?) You haven't had an MRI or a CT scan yet, so there's still stuff to look for.

Which doesn't mean that it doesn't suck, because it totally does. At least they're looking for something.

Yeah, they were looking for a blood clot with the ultrasound. I *was* on a plane recently, although it was a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for the information. I guess I'll wait to hear about whether I get an MRI or a CT scan next.
