Highly enjoyed and recommended, if cyberpunk is your thing. It was clean, crisp, and translated well to 2008. Also I like the Brattle. Thanks to crazybone for the invite and the ride home.

I've never seen Blade Runner. Should I just pick this up or is it better to see the original first?

Go ahead and pick this up. It's pretty much the original, with some cleaned-up effects and slightly lengthened scenes. It's just fine to start with.
