Another solution to my banking woes is to just get a scanner. However, the cheapest one at the Staples next door to work is $70, and that's not worth it to me. Does anyone have an old scanner they don't use much anymore or for other reasons are looking to offload? I can either pay or barter with knitting. :) Also, if it's somehow both a scanner and a printer (do those exist?) my household technically could use either. Thanks. (Now, off to Craigslist to look.)

We have a scanner we almost never use. I don't see any reason you can't borrow it.

Well, I'm not looking to borrow one. It is how I would deposit my paychecks, essentially, so it's something I'm looking to actually own, or at least have until this job gives me direct deposit or I switch jobs again. That could be a long time, and I don't know if that's what you're offering.
