Did you somehow think that I would not catch the $509 charge on my bank account? That's quite a hefty sum. And since you spent it at walmart.com, I'm fairly certain that you put in a shipping address that we can track down. Thanks for the extra information! Tomorrow morning when the bank opens, we will put a stop on that order and start tracking you down.

Yeah, pretty much both. Sucks that I'll have to change card numbers, and that I can't get at any cash right now since the card is on hold. But... I just can't see how we won't be able to track down this asshat.

Sadly....you might be for more of a fight than you realize. You are first assuming the shipping address is in this country. I've also heard of scams in which they convince people to receive items, and then forward them to another address or something similar. You should get your money back. I wouldn't hold my breath on catching the actual criminal. But we can always hope that said stupid criminal will be making a long visit to a PMITA prison soon.

larpwriting and I encountered a thief of similar intelligence, who ordered $560 worth of stuff from Crate & Barrel to be delivered to a home in Prince Georges County, Maryland. The bank gave us no trouble about stopping the charges. No clew if the thief was ever caught, but I'd imagine so.
