I am an addict.

A net friend introduced me to Silver Jewelry Club. Seems some ebay jewelry seller got it into their heads that they could build a good business model on selling limited quantaties and sizes of their goods for really damned cheap - free is what they claim, but really you pay the $5.99 "shipping & handling" fee. At any time they are showing four items on their front page; I've seen rings, earrings, bracelets, and pendants (the pendants are offered with optional additional $3 box chains.) Everything is (obviously) silver, with pearl/gemstone accents.

I am addicted to checking the page every 15 minutes or so to see what is there. It's cheap, but I am suffering from, "What if I decide to go for something and then 20 minutes later something I like even MORE shows up?!" There was a amythest ring a few minutes ago that would've done it, if it were in the right size (rings are only available in one size at any time.)

I guess I should probably check with the BBB or something to make sure this place is legit before I drop even $6 on them.

The first rule of Silver Jewelry Club is...

Seriously though, let us know if you find anything out about them. It looks intriguing.

A bunch of my friends are likewise addicted. And from what I've heard, it's legit.

I think ebay has rules against inflated shipping rates.

Ah, you have firsthand reports? (Sam, who showed me, also knows people who claim it's legit. But I don't know how many degrees of gossip that involves.)

The site isn't affiliated with ebay at all - the people just mention that they also sell stuff on ebay and are one of its biggest jewelry sellers. But the stuff on the site is different.

Not found anything bad yet with the Office of the Inspector General or the BBB....

I think it might be worth the risk. If I see anything worth grabbing I'll give it a whirl.

*grin* That reminds me of http://www.woot.com ... Luckily that's only a once/day thing. That, and usually, if it's something I might halfway want, it's sold out long before I remember to check it.

Yeah I shop there all the time :) Most of my Christmas and Birthday gifts come from there, only 2x out of the 20+ purchases made have I been unhappy with and its just because the picture wasn't "identical" to what I ended up getting. :)

Wow!! I'd never heard of Woot before. Man. Something to start checking before I leave the house every morning. ;)

Ooh, first hand knowledge! By identical, do you mean size or shape or shininess or color or what?

Well the 1 the pendant clasp was bent and I had to have my husband get a pliers and pry it open to get the chain through so it bent the pendant a little which made me mad, then the other is I love citrine, and the top of the pendant was supposed to be a smooth silver color but when I got it they way they designed it was all rough looking, so it looks rather cheap but seeing I have nothing fancy anyway it doesn't bother me I just wouldn't have given it for a gift if I had intended it for someone other then myself. :)

Keep your Paypal account well stocked - that's what I do to buy things when I see them at 3am and think they are cute.

Hmm, okay. So this is two problems out of how many orders? Have you bought from them over a dozen times?

2 out of lemme think about this (got to remember who I bought things for the holidays from) 23 orders I believe, may even have been 25. I do have a site where I can buy wholesale from as well, min. is 25.00 worth and then you pay shipping on top so the prices aren't as good but if you get bored and want my details to log in and check it out let me know...

I don't think you'll be sorry ordering from them though as it was just 2 small "problems" otherwise everything has always come quickly and doesn't look to bad at all.
