Woke up with [livejournal.com profile] londo at a little after noon. Sat around, did lots of dishes, went to the grocery store, made homemade burritos (yum), took a shower.

We headed out to dinner; met [livejournal.com profile] karlean7, [livejournal.com profile] simianzero, [livejournal.com profile] factitiouslj, and karlean7's roommate and his girlfriend in the Porter T station. As these were the people we were meeting for dinner, we were happy in knowing we wouldn't be late. Later on the party was joined by [livejournal.com profile] ariose, and then by a few of factitiouslj's friends.

londo and I received a call from [livejournal.com profile] shadowravyn on [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb's phone, as she was with him as well as [livejournal.com profile] ddrpolaris, heading to Cambridge to catch the 7:20 showing of Mirrormask. They wished us to join them, but the timing wasn't right. Luckily, they ended up being late for their showing, so they bought tickets to the 10pm and met up with us.

I dragged everyone to the Garment District with plans to buy a new pair of jeans. This could have gone horribly, but didn't: I continue being some shape that the producers of women's clothing don't understand, but I found a pair of jeans that fit (when belt is added) in the men's section. Now I have more than a single pair to take to Michigan. Yay.

The others had left while I was trying things on, as they hadn't eaten yet. I rejoined them and after they finished their Indian buffet, we headed to Toscanini's for some nummy ice cream. Today's pint creation: bananas foster, burnt caramel, and pumpkin. Num.

Then we went to see Mirrormask. Um. Yes, that was definitely a Neil Gaiman movie. I wonder if it will give me weird dreams tonight... I recommend it to those who like very surreal movies. It was good.

Now I'm home and should probably head to bed...

We tried calling for directions, but your phone wasn't on...

Dude, you're so right. It died in the theater. :( You made it home, though...

Nope. I'm posting this from a bus station...in Montana!

Hee.

We mostly just weren't sure which way to head with Mass Ave, but it worked out with a minimum of lost or grumping. But we did have to laugh.

Yes, but where we came out, we couldn't take a left. There was a big "No Left Turn" arrow sign. We were so sad

S'okay. It's kinda funny. We're like, "All right, just take this left, then smooth sailing all the way home...Wait. There is no left. Okaaaaaay. No problem, we'll just take an illegal U-Turn a bit further up, and then call Julia for confirmation....Wait. There is no Julia. Okaaaaaay..."

Neverwhere

Both by Neil Gaiman. :-)

I haven't read American Gods (yet) but I have both read and seen (http://www.neilgaiman.com/exclusive/NeverwhereDVD.asp) Neverwhere. I agree with the "excellent." :)

Mirrormask is coming to OKC in a couple of weeks. I really want to see it.
