It's amazing what a little thing like cleaning the ball and the rollers inside your mouse will do.

I don't have to go to work today, but if I do I get paid and get an extra vacation day to use at the end of the month to visit my dad. Wewt, I say. Plus, with so few other employees there, I shouldn't be TOO busy. Heh.

And, I accurately managed my sleep schedule such that I am not a zombie this morning (or a zmobie, or a zobmie.) THAT is the big plus.

Haha, people who don't know things about computers are funny!

Why should I get an optical mouse when this one works fine?

It's all about the feel baby, yeah.

Anyway, I use an optical trackball, dragging a hunk of technology around on your desk is a horrible concept.

Mmm, a trackball WOULD be nice. Easier on my wrists.

In my trackball experience, they are excellent for everything - gaming and general work, but very poor for art - doing sweeping curves with them can be very hard.

Well, that's no problem for me! :)

You still have to clean them as well.

I don't get trackballs.

"Get" meaning "understand" or "buy?"

understand.

I'm a minesweeper god, but no matter how much time I practice, I can't even play the game with a trackball. Other common applications, word processing, RTSs, etc. are also horrific.

Interesting. I suppose I should trial one before I ever decide to buy, then.

I like the trackman marble myself. Mostly because I only need to use my thumb to move it around. I crank the sensitivity to max and after some amount of practice you learn how to move it efficiently.

Especially for small calculated moves.

I've been thinking that I try turning the sensitivity waay down when trying it next. I find most Windows users set their mice to be way too sensitive anyway.

PS - I hate trackpads.
