Those of you more experienced than me (there probably aren't many of you!), please assist:

I wish to travel during the 1st weekend and 2nd week of August. That's leaving Boston on the 4th or 5th and returning on the 14th-15th. I wish to visit BOTH Oklahoma and Michigan. This is the problem.

Renting a car will not be feasible because of the cost in rental and gas and the driving time. I want to have quality time in two states a great deal away from here and each other; I don't want to spend most of my vacation time driving. So... What's the best way to fly in a three-city round-trip? Look for one-way flights? Call a travel agent?

Things I wish to attend:
- Bellydance workshop/show with my old troupe in OKC, OK, on the 5th-7th (5th is optional)
- Three Kingdoms Official Mud Party in Detroit, MI, on the 12th-13th

Sigh. This trip will, however, have me missing a Crossroads game and the DCI World Championship Finals in Foxboro on the 11th-13th. Hellooooo, internal conflict! :P

Also, there's the question of whether or not [livejournal.com profile] londo will be going with me... *eyes him meaningfully*

I've only done it a few time, but it's what the airlines or travel agents call a circle trip. You should be able to specify that at some of the online sites like Travelocity or Orbitz. Like roundtrip fares, it's generally cheaper if you book all flights of the trip at one time, and on the same airline.

I am debating on going to the OMP thing. I don't really mud anymore so it would basically to see a handful of friends and to show off my loss of over 150 pounds. I'm still undecided.

The chances are slim of me going...I guess it really depends on what happens with my divorce.

Southwest flies to all the places involved in your trip, so that wouldn't be a bad idea to check them out - the only problem is that I don't think SW does flights from detroit to boston for your return trip, but you could take another airline - just looking around, here's what I found....

boston to oklahoma on the 4th or 5th on southwest would be 165.
OKC to Detroit on the 11th (thursday - you can stay with me if you wanna) is 155.
detroit to boston on the 13th or 14th on airtran is 179.

This was just after a couple minutes of looking so you can probably get cheaper.

My dad, his wife, and my new brother live in the Boston area. I will want to spend more time there than just the OMP days, and spend it with them! ;)
