Currently reading: Society of the Mind by Eric Harry.

VERY GOOD. Recommended to me by londo. I'm enjoying it immensely. It's a "cyberthriller," set in... well, set in the present but with that one crazy guy who has figured out some nifty shit in computers/VR/artificial intelligence so we're on the cusp of the future, or something like that. What I'm trying to say is that it's not Do Androids Dream...? or Neuromancer, but much closer to home. It's written immensely well, and the lack of all the puzzle pieces is actually frustrating and intruiging me in the right proportions. I can't wait to get back to it! :)

londo is currently reading The Dragon Reborn, book #3 in the Wheel of Time series.

He's really enjoying the series so far. I hope the enthusiasm holds. ;) He's certainly inspiring me to reread it...

Coincidently, I started re-reading the WoT series recently. I'm already back up to book 7, though this is largely due to the break allowing me to blaze through 6. Will definately be checking out Society of the Mind.

Have you read Marvin Minsky's _Society of Mind_? Non-fiction (but *very* readable) book on cognitive science. Did a great deal to shape my model of how my own mind works...

I haven't, but the Amazon bookseller I got SotM from accidentally sent me that first, so it is sitting somewhere in my apartment... ;)

Well, consider this a strong recommendation to actually go and read it sometime :)
