shopping at Patternworks

Today I went on a shopping trip to Patternworks, a knitting store in New Hampshire, with tpau and rufinia. It's a 2 hour drive.

I spent $131.42.

I bought:

6 balls of Wildflower DK - 2 white, 4 red, for making a Christmas present for my mom
2 balls of Richesse et Soie - both purple, for making gloves for myself
the glove pattern
The Knitters Handy Guide to Yarn Requirements
two sizes of needle point protectors
locking ring markers
needles - double pointed 7" plastic in sizes 2 and 5
the Denise Interchangable Knitting Needle set

So, phew.

On the way home, stopped at Walmart and bought some of those personalizable tags for putting in things you make, y'know, that say, "Handmade with love by" and you put your name in. :)

Can someone (flyingindie) remind me of what the clinical term for compulsive shopping is? flyingindie came through - it's oniomania!

EDIT: I WILL be making this. Oh yes. It will be mine.

Ooohh. Drool. Every time I flip through the Patternworks catalog I see those gloves and that gorgeous Richesse et Soie and covet them. Too many wonderful things to make, not enough time! Hopefully one of these days I will make it to Patternworks.
