interestingly my brother doesnt have it either, but he DOES test positive for it everytime. they have to do "further testing"

I had a colleague from Italy who also tested positive constantly and he told me it was because he had gotten a vaccination of some kind in Europe that we don't use here.

Makes me think of the blood tests I had so we could apply for a marriage license. "Yeah, we have to test you for syphillis and German measles. I've never diagnosed anyone with syphillis in all my years as a doctor, but we have to do it anyway." She went on to make some comments on how German measles is very dangerous for babies and pregnant women, and if it turns out I'm not immune, they can give me a booster shot. "Because of course, no one gets pregnant before they're married..."

I really liked the fact that my doctor had a sense of humor about it. The quotes above are hers (as well as I can remember them).

She certainly has experience with that situation - her clinic is in a poor section of Worcester, and I constantly see teen mothers in the waiting room.
