Gaea Spore's radio cherry

By request, londo just played Gaea Spore on Radio KoL. I believe this is the first time that Gaea Spore has been on any radio station.

It was Jingo B'Dingo.

He did a nice intro for it, talking about the band. He didn't mention me at all, which he claims was done for a reason even if I don't know what it is (he mentions me about twice a show, when I request a song... as I did this one). But he seems to have remembered a lot of my ramblings about the group in the past and described them (us?) well. :)

Yes, in fact, that's the only way one can listen to it. :)

Go to http://www.cox-internet.com/radiokol/main.htm and click on the "listen" button. You have to have Winamp or iTunes, though. He's on from approximately 5-11am eastern time on weekdays. He's known as Fusilliban there. He doesn't have his picture on the main page yet; he's only DJed for less than a week.

For the record, flyingindie is someone else whose music collection and taste rivals that of the gods, and I hope she starts listening and requesting music!

Hmm, either LJ is taking a long time sending me comment emails, or you're listening to a different stream than I am! Because that song hasn't played in the last 45 minutes at least!

But I do know that he's played it before. It's the song that's not "Ice Ice Baby", right? ;)

Gæa Spore has been on at least two radio stations before. Way back in '98, a friend of ours had a radio show on KNOR, now defunct. I was away, but the other guys broadcast a few shows live, and I'm pretty sure some recordings got play, too. Also, when we played in Arkansas City, Kansas, we had a radio spot in the afternoon.
