Speaking of gay marriage... Simpsons fans, have you seen this?

Who do you think it is?

Hey, I have cable now. I can watch!

It's gotta be Smithers.

There's really very little alternative beyond that based on the description given.

But... too obvious.

Well, the only other alternative I see is Patty Bouvier.

Also, have you seen the show lately? It's gotten to the point where the gags are extremely obvious.

No, I haven't seen a new episode in a long time. TV just isn't something I generally spend my time on. Perhaps if it were visible from my computer/room like yours is. ;)

I think I'd be disappointed if Smithers wasn't one of the two characters--but you need two to make a wedding.

Pulling a guess completely out of the air, I think Smithers and Principal Skinner would make a cute couple. And, after all, Burns can't live forever, can he? :-)

?

Why are you upset?

I'm not, really, but you have to understand.

Watching the Simpsons these days is like talking to a dearly beloved grandfather with Alzheimer's. He looks basically the same, but there's something missing, and it makes you mourn.

I mean, I guess I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, but in my experience, any recent Simpsons has become painful to watch.

That's sad to hear. When do you think it jumped the shark?
