omg Mr. Mathis
10 May 2004 15:01SQUEEEEEE!!!
Mr. Mathis has a posted email address on the Edmond Memorial High School website!!
Oh god.
Do I email him? Tell him about the daydreams I used to have in class about him? About the yearly dreams I still have?
GAH! I have wondered for years what I'd do with this information... and now it's here... right in front of me.
Note: the amount of freaking out I'm doing is directly related to the amount of amusement I get from freaking out. I'm giving my life all the humorous dramatics I can give it at the moment. ;)

on 10 May 2004 12:58 (UTC)I say e-mail him. ;) When it comes to embarrassment vs. great new stories, you know what wins.

on 10 May 2004 13:15 (UTC)Do you think I should ask him if he's gay?

on 10 May 2004 14:42 (UTC)Just gotta finesse it out of him. ;) I figure if he's kept it a secret for this long, he probably won't give it up too easily since you could easily spread the info back to current students...

Speaking of HS teachers, did you know (of) Mrs. Harrold? She found my blog recently and sent me a long note. :P Although perhaps seeing pictures of me jogged her memory. Maybe you should attach one of yourself if you write Mr. M, just to up your odds of being remembered...

on 11 May 2004 08:16 (UTC)Hmm, sending pictures to Mr. Mathis... This provides opportunity for many amusing thoughts. ;) I'm such a bad girl!

on 11 May 2004 06:37 (UTC)I will argue, however, that he DID give me his cabin address back then, which I'm going to guess wasn't very common. So I'm going to say that he will probably remember me, even if it's just as a student that he knew a little better than others.

on 11 May 2004 06:39 (UTC)His ass in Wranglers was the subject of many a wistful sigh back in high school.
Oh, and you have the hair. Hmm. This might be tough. ;)

on 10 May 2004 17:24 (UTC)I wouldn't do it, but if you must, I would leave out the stuff about the dreams.
This is a person who just might show up at your high school reunions and that might become a teeny bit uncomfortable.

on 11 May 2004 06:44 (UTC)Mmm, reunions. I hadn't thought about that before. Perfect opportunities for one-nighters! ;) (Once again, JOKE!)
